Get the best of both worlds in this practice. Beginning with an energising flow  we endeavour to warm up the body and build strength. In the second half of the class we will later cool down with floor based Yin postures that are held for longer periods of time, incorporating a more quiet and mindful way to practice. The practice will finish with a calming relaxation. Breathing practice (pranayama) and meditation will be interwoven throughout. Expect to leave feeling invigorated but also rested and restored. Suitable for all levels including beginners.

Class Description

This postnatal mum and baby yoga class, starting this October in Worthing, is a great way to gently rebuild strength at your own pace whilst learning relaxation techniques, bonding with your baby and meeting other mums.

This class will be taught by me, Emily, and my own baby (due this August)! After a strange pregnancy and/or maternity leave for us all during the first half of this year, I’m particularly excited to be able to bring you this new class from October, and start building a community for mums in the area.

Yin Yoga is an opportunity to slow down in a busy world. We hold the poses comfortably for 3-5 minutes which helps to release layers of built up tension in the body, freedom in the joints and to encourage Qi (energy) to flow freely through our meridian lines, as well as helping to calm the mind.
